Frequently Asked Questions

Do you plate rims, bumpers, guns, aluminum, or pot metal?
No, I am sorry but our business specializes in industrial plating. There are generally companies listed that do nothing but bumpers, wheels, etc.
What type of parts should be hard chrome plated?
Any part that becomes worn, parts that need corrosion resistance, parts that need to resist heat, weight bearing parts, and worn or mismachined tooling.
How can Hard Chrome Plating save my company money?
Hard Chrome Plating extends the life of parts and restores parts to better than new condition at a fraction of the cost.
Will chrome plating fill pits, scratches, indentions in metal?
No, these must be filled or machined prior to plating.
Is there a price scale used for plating, example: weight, or square inch?
No, each piece is unique and must be quoted separately. We would be glad to give you a free quote.
Do you have barrel plating capabilities?
No, we do primarily industrial rack plating.
Are there any special shipping instructions?
Yes, wrap each part carefully, smaller pieces should be bagged separately. Machined surfaces should be lightly oiled to prevent rusting.
What type of surfaces can be hard chrome plated?
Almost any metal surface besides aluminum and zinc die-castings.
